Alberto Rosende
Shadowhunters Simon Lewis
Alberto Rosende recently completed the final season as fan favorite/human-turned vampire Simon Lewis in the Freeform series Shadowhunters. Over the past three seasons, fans of the hit series have watched Simon transform from a normal teenager to one with strong supernatural powers. But even as he changed physically, Simon has remained the ultimate good guy and favorite amongst of the series.
In addition to Shadowhunters, Alberto is co-creator of the production company 74th Avenue Films with his filmmaker brother Diego. Together they produce and direct films that take a deeper look in to one’s ideology and belief system. Most recently, they traveled 10,000 miles around the US, stopped in 15 different cities, asking people of all ages and backgrounds, the timely question of “how do you feel being American” for their documentary film entitled AMERICAN IDENTITY PROJECT. The project was filmed during the summer 2016, as a way to start dialogue on why young adults were becoming less proud to claim an American identity on the heels of the 2016 election.
Alberto starred in the highly praised short film JAHAR, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. The film was made by ex-classmates/friends of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (his nickname was Jahar) and focused on the emotions experienced in the days after the bombings. Alberto studied at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, graduating in 2015.
